Story Summary

Daisy is a content moderator for a social medial company. She is in charge of gatekeeping and reviewing a number of flagged video content. She is exposed to a lot of violent and disturbing material content for which over and over again, and the company has to train her to some extent. Each and every day, Daisy gets paid to see some of the most gruesome, sinister material content people are exposed to and there is no question about the psychological cost that moving content has for moderators. Most realize, and Daisy has, in a sort of stark, sinister, and inhuman way that it is the price that we pay, she gets paid to look, to see.
One day, she sees some content that is so disturbing that she loses faith that it is merely violent and abusive content and is potentially a and gruesome illegal abuse a live content. She attempts to tell her boss and the police, which leads nowhere. They suggest that it is a fake.
Daisy is unable to disengage. She focuses her attention on finding out what she believes RESEARCH. The more she uncovered, the deeper and more sinister it became, and the more she became psychologically tortured.
Daisy’s life starts to fall apart. She can’t sleep, avoids her friends, and is afraid all the time. The story builds to a powerful ending where Daisy needs to confront difficult truths about the internet, her job, and herself.
